Day 50 - Melbourne to Melbourne Cricket Ground

The Baton travels around Melbourne on the final day of the Relay, before heading to the MCG and the Opening Ceremony of the XVIII Commonwealth Games.
On the penultimate day, the Baton travels through some of Melbourne's best-known suburbs, including Camberwell and South Yarra before finishing the day at the Bourke Street Mall.
Today’s run takes in some of the best preserved heritage villages in the country on its way to Deloraine, home of Australia’s biggest annual craft fair.
Starting at St Helens, the baton travels through the striking natural beauty of the coastline and stunning countryside of Freycinet and Maria Island national parks.
From the Spirit of Tasmania's port to the island's sunny north-east coast, the Relay travels through charming historic towns and forested mountain passes.
The Baton heads inland to Hamilton, the Wool Capital of the World. The Sir Reginald Ansett Transport Museum profiles the airline, founded here in 1937.
Starting from Bombala railway station, the Baton will visit some of East Gippsland's scenic attractions before ending the day in Victoria's power generation region.
Yarralumla, on Lake Burley Griffin in the nation's capital, is where the Baton begins its journey. It then passes through Canberra's suburbs before heading south.
